Blazers Put up Season-High 115 in Win over Patriots

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake men's basketball team beat Arlington Baptist University Red, 115-64, Wednesday night.

The 115 points was a season-high, and the most since Nov. 26, 2019 when the Blazers put up 118 in a win over Dallas-Fort Worth Prep.

North Lake (13-4) won its seventh straight game.

Autavius Hobbs scored a season-high 18 points, including 15 in the second half. Bryson Smith had 14 of his 18 points in the first half. Daylen Webb and Anden Holmes both finished with a season-high 16 points. Jakob Zenon scored 15 points, and Randy Woolf had 10.

Arlington Baptist's Jordan Moreno finished with 14 points, and Monte Mitchell had 11. Moreno scored nine in the second half.

Woolf hit a floater around the 5:00 mark in the first half to give North Lake a 43-18 lead. Josh Jackson scored on back-to-back possessions, pushing the Blazers' lead to 55-28 in the last minute. Webb canned a triple to beat the halftime buzzer to extend the lead to 30 at the break.

North Lake was 9-for-10 from the free throw line in the first half.

Casey House hit a three-pointer as the Patriots used a 7-2 run to open the second half. ABU's Denzil Sterling scored at the 15:30 mark, but North Lake's Ring Deng threw down a breakaway jam 40 seconds later to pad the Blazers' lead to 74-41.

Holmes had a three-point play with 6:39 remaining to make it 97-54. David Clower's basket at the 5:52 mark put North Lake ahead by 45. Webb scored on two straight trips down the floor – the second on a 3-pointer – to push North Lake past the 100-point plateau. Elijah Moraros' breakaway layup made it 106-59.

All 11 Blazers who entered the game scored.

North Lake will host Dallas Christian College Junior Varsity 6 p.m. Friday.
