Lawrence Named Dallas Athletic Conference Player of Week

Dallas College North Lake's Brandon Lawrence was named the Dallas Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.

Lawrence, a sophomore guard from Arlington, Texas, had 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a steal in a 99-64 win over Dallas Christian College Saturday. He shot 7 of 10 from the floor. He was one of five starters who reached double figures in scoring as the Blazers won their sixth straight game to improve to 10-6.

North Lake, ranked No. 4 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, will play at Southwestern Adventist University 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Blazers host Dallas-Fort Worth Prep 6 p.m. Friday.
