Mills Collects TABC Juco Coach of Year Honor

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Dallas College North Lake men's basketball coach Josh Mills was named the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches JUCO Coach of the Year.

Mills, named the NJCAA Division III Coach of the Year after guiding the Blazers to the national championship. He also collected his second straight Dallas Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honor this year.

Mills led the Blazers to a 29-4 overall record this season – his second as a head coach. North Lake went unbeaten in the DAC for a second straight year, running its conference winning streak to 24 straight games, dating back to an 85-75 win over Dallas College Eastfield Feb. 12, 2022. The Blazers finished this year on a 23-game winning streak.

North Lake went unbeaten in the Blazer Dome for a second straight season under Mills, capturing the NJCAA Division III South Central District championship for a second consecutive season on its home floor.

Mills, a former assistant coach for the Blazers, also had stops at Texas Tech University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Wake Forest University, along with Rager College and Highland Community College.
