North Lake Hosts NJCAA South Central District Tournament Thursday-Saturday

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament semifinals and championship games Thursday and Saturday.

Dallas College Eastfield will host the quarterfinals Tuesday before the tournament moves to the Blazer Dome.

North Lake won the Dallas Athletic Conference regular season title for a second straight year, going 10-0 in both of head coach Josh Mills' first two seasons. The No. 2 nationally-ranked Blazers and No. 7 Dallas College Richland will have first round byes.

This year's tournament seeding mirrors that of yesteryear as the teams all retained their seeds from last year's South Central District Tournament. The winner of Saturday's 2 p.m. championship game will advance to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament in Herkimer, New York March 13-16.

  • All six seeds in this year's NJCAA Division III South Central District Tournament mirror that of last year's tournament
  • Dallas College North Lake went unbeaten in Dallas Athletic Conference play for the second straight year
