Zenon Collects Third DAC Player of Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Jakob Zenon was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

This marks the third time this season he has received the honor.

A 6-foot-4 sophomore guard/forward from Fort Worth, Texas, Zenon scored 28 points on 10 of 20 shooting, including 5 of 10 from three-point range, grabbed 12 rebounds, had five assists, a steal and a block in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III's No. 3-ranked Blazers' 80-70 comeback victory at NJCAA Division I Grayson College Saturday. Zenon scored 16 points in the second half, burying three of his five triples after the intermission break.

Zenon is averaging 19.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range this season.

The Blazers (12-4) host Arlington Baptist University Red 6 p.m. Wednesday to begin a three-game homestand.
