Zenon Repeats as DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Jakob Zenon repeated as the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-4 guard from Fort Worth, Zenon averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, two steals and 2.3 assists per game as the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III seventh-ranked Blazers went 3-1, with wins over NJCAA Division I Navarro College, NJCAA Division II Arkansas Cossatot and NCAA Division II East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity and a three-point loss to NJCAA Division I Blinn College on the road. Zenon shot 52 percent from the field, 48 percent from three-point range and 84 percent from the free throw line.

Zenon scored in double figures in all four games last week, going for 23 against Cossatot and ETBU JV.  He was 16-for-19 from the free throw line, 27 of 52 from the field and 12 of 25 from three-point range. He is averaging 21.8 points per game, shooting 50 percent from the floor, 49 percent from three-point range and 82 percent from the free throw stripe, while pulling down six rebounds per game.

North Lake (4-2) will host Texas Wesleyan University Junior Varsity at noon Tuesday on Community Day. Local area schools and community members will be in attendance for the matinee game.
