Zenon Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Jakob Zenon was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Zenon, a 6-foot-4 sophomore swingman from Fort Worth, Texas, scored a career-high 33 points, burying 8 of 12 three-point field goals, in an 89-81 win at National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Three Rivers College to open the season. He also had six rebounds and two steals in the victory. A day later, Zenon finished with 16 points and four rebounds in a 99-75 loss to NJCAA Division I Mineral Area College at the Three Rivers College Classic.

Zenon averaged 24.5 points, five rebounds and a steal in the Blazers' two games in Missouri. He was 16 of 34 from the floor, including 10 of 20 from three-point land, while going 7-for-9 from the free throw line.

North Lake (1-1) will play at Navarro College 7 p.m. Tuesday before hosting East Texas Baptist University's Junior Varsity 6 p.m. Wednesday in the home opener.
