Dallas College North Lake men's basketball player Darion Jones was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Second Team All-American.

A sophomore guard from Austin, Texas, Jones averaged 14 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 2.8 assists per game for the Blazers, who went 25-8, winning the NJCAA Division III South Central District and Dallas Athletic Conference titles, and advancing to the national tournament.

Chosen as the Dallas Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player and a First Team selection, Jones scored in double figures in 23 games. He reached 20 points or more in seven games, and had a career-high 25 in two games, including the NJCAA Division III South Central District championship win over Dallas College Richland.
