IRVING, Texas -- Dallas College North Lake won its fourth straight game, beating Jacksonville College, 102-93, Wednesday night.

Ranked No. 5 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, the Blazers (8-6) broke a 91-91 tie in the last few minutes to pull away from Jacksonville (2-12). North Lake closed the game with an 11-2 run.

Five players scored in double figures for North Lake, which improved to 5-0 at home. Darion Jones had 22 points, including 14 in the second half. Brandon Lawrence had 17 points. Jakob Zenon scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half. Da'Ryan Williams had 16 points, making seven of the Blazers' 36 field goals. Ryan Pondant scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half.

An NJCAA DI school, Jacksonville connected on 13 three-point field goals. Kaden Keal had 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting. Nickson Bess scored 20 points, and had five rebounds.

The Jaguars were 26 of 31 from the free throw line. They were 17 of 20 from the stripe in the first half. North Lake shot 23 of 29 from the line, including 14 of 18 in the second half.

The Blazers will host Loyalty College Prep at 7 p.m. Thursday before taking a three-week break for the holidays. North Lake returns to the court Jan. 7 to host Dallas Christian College Junior Varsity.
