Josh Mills Named Head Basketball Coach

Josh Mills was named the head men's basketball coach at Dallas College North Lake.

Mills was elevated from the associate head coaching role he held since 2018. He takes over for National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Coach of the Year Tim McGraw, who accepted a position on Louisiana Tech's men's basketball staff.

Mills was an intricate part of the Blazers' 2021-22 National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Championship team. North Lake went 25-7, beating Genesee Community College, 83-80, for the national title in Rockford, Illinois.

"We are excited to have him carry on the tradition," Blazers Athletic Director Greg Sommers said.

Mills not only has a background within the Dallas Athletic Conference, but also has coaching experience at Texas Tech University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Wake Forest University and Ranger College.

"I am grateful for the opportunity afforded to me by Dallas College North Lake," Mills said. "I am excited to be able to lead the program where I began my coaching career. I look forward to continuing the winning tradition that Coach McGraw has paved."
