Blazers Pair Win DAC Players of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Parker Burt and Matthew Wendorf were named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week. Wendorf is this week's Pitcher of the Week.

Burt, a freshman catcher from Mansfield, Texas, went 6 for 14 for a .429 average, collecting three doubles, three RBI, one run scored and one walk as North Lake went 2-1 with a pair of 10-inning victories to capture a three-game series with Dallas College Brookhaven.

Wendorf, a freshman left-hander from Bedford, Texas, was 1-0 in one relief appearance. He worked four innings, allowing no runs, two hits and two walks, and had two strikeouts. He worked the final four innings of a 5-4 10-inning victory over the Bears to even the series at a game apiece.

North Lake plays at Navarro College 12 p.m. Monday before beginning a three-game DAC series at Dallas College Cedar Valley Wednesday.
