Holden Named DAC Hitter of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Michael Holden was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week.

Holden, a freshman first baseman and catcher from Fairview, Texas, batted .462, going 6-for-13 with a double, triple, home run and eight runs batted in three games last week as the Blazers went 3-1, while winning Games 2 and 3 of a three-game series at Dallas College Cedar Valley. Holden hit for the cycle in the second game of the series, going 4-for-5 with five RBI in the Blazers' 21-8 victory over the Suns Friday. He was 2-for-4 with an RBI in Game 1, and drove in two runs in the series-clinching 16-7 victory.

Holden became the second DAC player to hit for the cycle this season. He is hitting .364 with 10 doubles, a triple, homer and 34 RBI this season.

North Lake (17-23, 8-10) plays at Dallas College Mountain View (11-23, 1-17) Wednesday before hosting the Lions Friday and Saturday at noon.
