Blazers Win on Walk-Off

IRVING, Texas – Noah Hack had a gamewinning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday as Dallas College North Lake's baseball team won the second game of a doubleheader against Dallas-Fort Worth Post Grad, 4-3.

The win snapped a six-game skid for North Lake.

Hack went 2-for-4 with three RBI. He had a two-out, two-run single to left in the first inning that gave the Blazers a 3-1 lead.

Blake Butler's sacrifice fly in the first tied the game at 1-1. DFW Post Grad scored twice in the fourth to tie the game at 3-3.

Butler, who doubled to right to open the seventh, was 2-for-3 with an RBI. He scored on Hack's gamewinning hit.

Jackson Earle, Robert Farr, Ethan Revilla and Michael Riberich each had one of North Lake's eight hits. Earle and Revilla both had a stolen base.

Danny Berenthy got the win in relief for the Blazers. He pitched the last inning, allowing a hit, no runs and no walks. Chase Kahle worked an inning-and-two-thirds, allowing two hits, no runs and a walk, and had one strikeout. Carlos Pirela pitched one inning, giving up no hits, no runs and a walk, and struck out two.  

The Blazers lost the first game Monday, 5-1. Carlos Pirela went 2-for-3, while Garrett Gregory and Danny Berenthy had one hit apiece.

North Lake (18-27, 9-15 Dallas Athletic Conference) will host Dallas College Mountain View (18-27, 6-18) at noon Wednesday to open a three-game league series. The final two games are scheduled for 12 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Mountain View.
