Baseball Wins 3rd Straight, Pulls Even in League Play

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Noah Angus had himself a day, and Dallas College North Lake's baseball team pulled even in Dallas Athletic Conference action.

Angus went 4-for-5 with a three-run home run, two doubles and six runs batted in as the Blazers beat host Dallas College Brookhaven, 10-6, Wednesday. Angus banged a three-run shot in the middle inning as North Lake gained control of a game that lied in the balance at the time.

North Lake (8-11, 2-2 DAC) won its third straight game, and the second in a row in league play.

The Blazers trailed 4-2 after the fourth inning when Brookhaven scored in each of the second, third and fourth innings. But a four-run fifth gave North Lake a two-run lead. The Blazers tacked on three runs in the seventh and another in the ninth.

Brookhaven scored twice in the ninth, but Blazers reliever Noe Saracay preserved the win for his first victory of the season. He pitched the last 5 1/3 innings, allowing two unearned runs, four hits and two walks, while fanning five.

North Lake's Ethan Revilla was 3-for-4. Garrett Gregory, Danny Berenthy and Tyler Yancey each had two hits, with Berenthy driving in a pair of runs. Berenthy and Yancey both had a double, as did Jack Davis.

The Blazers had 15 hits, marking the second straight league game they've produced that number at the plate.

North Lake will host Brookhaven Friday and Saturday to continue the series. First pitch is scheduled for noon both days.
