Blazers Sweep DAC Player of Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Hadley Klock and Love Riley were selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week.

Klock, a freshman setter from Centerville, Texas, collected the conference's Offensive Player of the Week honor. Riley, a sophomore outside hitter from Irving, was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.

In four wins for the Blazers, Klock had 142 assists and nine aces, while coming up with 74 digs and two blocks. Her season-high 45 assists in a five-set win at Henderson State University Junior Varsity came two days after dishing out 44 assists in a five-set win over Dallas College Richland to wrap up a 2-0 league play portion of the week. She had 27 assists in a sweep of Dallas College Cedar Valley to begin the week.

Riley had eight blocks and 87 digs, while hitting .331 with 60 kills and 16 errors in 133 swings, and serving three aces. She had a career-high 33 digs in the win over Henderson State JV. Riley, who had 21 digs and three blocks in the victory over Richland, also banged down a career-high 22 kills at Henderson State and 18 in the five-setter with Richland.

North Lake, which is two wins away from its most in five years, will play at Dallas College Mountain View (7-12, 1-3 DAC) at 6 p.m. Monday to wrap up the first round of DAC action. The Blazers (10-15, 3-1 DAC) will host National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 1-ranked Dallas College Eastfield (23-0, 4-0) at 6 p.m. Thursday to begin the second half of league play in a match that will air on the Blazers Network.
