Brooks Named DAC Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Skyler Brooks was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

Brooks, a sophomore libero from Hillsboro, Texas, had 108 digs in four matches as the Blazers picked up their first win of the season at the Weatherford College Tournament. Brooks had a career-high 38 digs in the season opener – a four-set match with National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Panola College. She had 25 or more digs in three of the four matches, none more than a four-setter.

Brooks averaged 7.71 digs per set on the opening weekend. She also had two aces.

North Lake plays at Seminole State College 4 p.m. Monday before heading to the first of a home-and-home series at Arlington Baptist University Thursday.
