Emma Zuege's National Anthem

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Dallas College North Lake outgoing volleyball player Emma Zuege sang the national anthem prior to the Texas Rangers' 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night at Globe Life Field.

Zuege, a rising junior from Euless, Texas/Trinity High School who is headed to Oklahoma Panhandle State University to continue her volleyball career, offered her rendition of the anthem before a reported crowd of 34,677. Both the Rangers and Rays entered the game leading their respective American League divisions.

Zuege has sung the national anthem at events in the past, including North Lake athletic contests. She sang before the Blazer men's basketball team's 2022-23 home opener, which featured the largest crowd of the year on a day the 2021-22 team received its national championship rings.

As a sophomore last season, Zuege had 88 kills, 127 digs, 20 aces and 15 blocks in 26 matches for the Blazers.
