Volleyball Opens Conference Play Monday
Dallas College North Lake's volleyball team will open the Dallas Athletic Conference portion of its schedule Monday against Dallas College Brookhaven.
The six-team league schedule runs through Oct. 20. The DAC Tournament is set for Oct. 25-29 at the highest seed.
The Blazers (4-8) are competing in their final tournament of the season this weekend, with four matches at the Blinn Volleyball Invitational.
North Lake's Megan O'Neal has a team-best 111 kills and 44 blocks entering the Blinn Volleyball Invitational. Hope Miller's 21 aces lead the team, as do Brianna McClure's 267 assists and Skyler Brooks' 219 digs.
The Blazers went 2-10 in conference play a year ago. Brookhaven is receiving votes in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll.
North Lake's first road DAC match is Sept. 26 at Dallas College Cedar Valley.
