Bio

Adrian Gonzalez took over as the head women's soccer coach at Dallas College North Lake in 2008.

Entering the 2024 season, he has an overall record of 78-133-21, and is 64-79-14 in conference games.

Gonzalez guided the Blazers to a third place finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III national tournament in 2010. His North Lake teams won the Metro Athletic Conference regular season titles in 2008, 2010 and 2011. The Blazers captured the NJCAA Region V Tournament in 2008, and were the NJCAA District D runner-up. Prior to advancing to the national tournament in 2010, North Lake won the NJCAA District D championship.

He has coached two First Team All-Americans at North Lake: Patricia Del Valle in 2010 and Lia Santiago in 2023. 

A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, Gonzalez played professional soccer for 10 years before beginning his coaching career. In Mexico, he played for Club Deportivo Guadalajara Chivas and for Club Universidad de Guadalajara. In the United States, he played three years for the California Jaguars, which won the USISL Select League championship in 1996. While with the Jaguars, Gonzalez led the A-League in scoring. He spent the 1999 season with the Sacramento Geckos in the A-League.​

He also coaches with FC Dallas at the ECNL level.

Gonzalez has United States Soccer Federation Coaching A, B and C licenses.

He has a daughter, Frida, and a son, Adrianzini, and resides in Irving.
