Warzone Goes Unbeaten in Regular Season

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas College North Lake's Call of Duty Warzone team went unbeaten in the regular season.
The Blazers' duo of Hunter Treleaven, "Chillz," and Anthony Garcia, "gkay," will enter the playoffs with a 7-0 record. The Central Group 2 Super Regionals matchup against Laramie County Community College 2 (4-3) is set for 5 p.m. Friday, and will stream on the North Lake eSports YouTube channel.
The Blazers set multiple kill records this season, including a high of 80 between two games, while not letting opponents score more than 15.
"This season has been the best Warzone experience that I have had the privilege to be a part of," North Lake eSports coach Brody Rush said. "We have an impeccable balance between the two players. Chillz, who is a seasoned veteran and team captain, matches up to perfection with the newest member of the roster in gkay. Their skills complement each other flawlessly. Gkay has arguably the best gun skill that I have had on any roster in my five seasons with Dallas College eSports. Being able to watch him head hunt and play free, while Chillz leads the strategic aspect of the game is what makes this duo so special. They have put in countless hours outside of practice to ensure they make the most of this season's national championship run. The boys have dominated their opponent week in and week out. I don't envision that to stop now, and anticipate them bringing the trophy back home to North Lake."
North Lake finished ahead of Hinds Community College (6-1) and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (5-2) at the top of the standings.
The Blazers' Call of Duty Warzone 4v4 team of Jamie Woodruff, "Vigilante," Aaron Walker, "Reaper," Zion Williamson "Zhuni," Treleaven and Garcia went 6-1 in the regular season, also qualifying for the Super Regionals. Their playoff march begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, also on the YouTube channel.
North Lake's 4v4 team plays Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (4-3) in the opening round of the playoffs.
