Skinner, Mills Named DAC Players of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Lincoln Skinner and Tristan Mills were named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week. Skinner won the DAC Hitter of the Week, while Mills received the Pitcher of the Week honor.

A freshman shortstop from Prosper, Texas, Skinner hit .500, going 3-for-6, with three runs scored, two stolen bases and two walks in the Blazers' season-opening series at National Junior College Athletic Association Division II No. 2-ranked Louisiana State University Eunice. He had a .667 on-base percentage from the leadoff spot in the lineup.

A sophomore right hander from Houston, Mills made one appearance in the weekend series, working 1.2 innings without allowing a hit or a run. He had two strikeouts, and gave up one walk, while facing five batters.

North Lake (0-3) will play a doubleheader at Cisco College 12 p.m. Friday. The Blazers host Twin City Post Grad Feb. 7 in the home opener beginning at noon.
