IRVING, Texas – Seven Dallas College North Lake student-athletes earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic honors. The Blazers men's basketball team also earned All-Academic Team honors.

To be eligible for the national academic honors, a student-athlete must post a grade point average of at least 3.6, and complete 24 credit hours during the academic year. Student-athletes who graduate in December are not required to pass 24 credit hours.

North Lake men's basketball's Ori Limbrick and Jermey Irwin, and volleyball's Piper Neuman both earned First Team All-Academic honors. Volleyball's Skyler Brooks, Baseball's Gabby Aragon, men's basketball's Evan Whaling and women's soccer's Megan Morales were Third Team All-Academic recipients.

To qualify for Third Team, student-athletes must post a GPA between 3.6-3.79 for the academic year, while meeting the credit requirements.

Limbrick, a sophomore point guard from Houston, appeared in 24 games, scored 41 points points, while shooting 41.2 percent from the floor and 76.5 percent from the free throw line. He had 25 rebounds, 18 assists and 10 steals for a team that reached its second straight NJCAA Division III Tournament.

Neumann, a freshman outside hitter from Willis, Texas, had 98 kills, 161 assists, 20 aces, 207 digs and 34 blocks.

Irwin, a freshman forward, redshirted in 2022-23.

Brooks, a freshman libero from Hillsboro, Texas, had 446 digs, 23 kills, 19 assists, 10 aces and six blocks in 25 matches.

Aragon, a sophomore pitcher from Fort Worth, went 1-2 with two saves, a 3.55 earned run average and 47 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched. He was a First Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference.

Whaling, a freshman forward from San Antonio, scored 13 points, seven rebounds, three steals, two blocks and an assist in 10 games.

Morales, a freshman forward from Lake Worth, Texas, had an assist in 12 games. She was an Honorable Mention All-DAC selection.

North Lake's men's basketball team earned the All-Academic Team honor after posting a grade point average of 3.24. It was the second highest men's basketball team GPA in NJCAA Division III and 15th highest GPA among all three divisions.

To be eligible for team academic honors, all student-athletes on the eligibility roster must be included in the cumulative team GPA calculation for the academic year.
