Roy Named National Pitcher of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College North Lake's Max Roy was chosen as the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Pitcher of the Week.

A right-handed freshman from Grapevine, Texas, Roy pitched threw scoreless innings in a 5-0 victory over NJCAA Division I Clarendon College. He struck out seven batters, and did not allow a hit, while giving up three walks in his second start of the season.

North Lake (4-3) is scheduled to host Des Moines Area Community College in a doubleheader Friday and State Fair Community College in a twin bill Saturday.
