North Lake Baseball Opens Season Jan. 23

BASEBALL SCHEDULE

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's baseball team will open the season Jan. 23 in a doubleheader at Paris Junior College. The two teams will play the following day at North Lake in the Blazers' home opener.

North Lake will play 24 home games in its 56-game schedule.

The Blazers will play Ranger College, Navarro College, Galveston College and Dodge City Community College at the Galveston College Baseball Island Invitational Jan. 30-Feb. 1. They return home the following weekend to host Clarendon College in a three-game series.

Following a Monday road trip to Murray State College, North Lake hosts Des Moines Area Community College and State Fair Community College Feb. 13-14 in a pair of doubleheaders. The Blazers meet Cisco College on the road Feb. 18 for a twin bill and Hill College Feb. 21.

North Lake opens Dallas Athletic Conference play Feb. 25 at home against Dallas College Brookhaven. The three-game series finishes with the last two games at Brookhaven Feb. 27-28. The Blazers' second conference series is set for March 4-7 against Dallas College Cedar Valley, with the first game at home.

After a road trip to Navarro March 9, the Blazers return to DAC action March 11 at Dallas College Eastfield. They host the Harvester Bees for the final two games of the series March 13-14. After Spring Break, the Blazers play at Dallas College Mountain View March 25, and host the Lions March 27-28.

North Lake meets North Central Texas College on the road March 30 before finishing the first round of league play April 1-3 against Dallas College Richland, with the first of those three games at home. The second round of DAC games begins April 8 at Brookhaven.

The Blazers will mix in nonconference games at Paris, Grayson College and North Central Texas College April 13, 20 and 27 around second round DAC series against Cedar Valley and Eastfield. The regular season concludes with three-game series against Mountain View and Richland, with the final two games against the Thunderducks at home May 8-9.

The National Junior College Athletic Association Division III District Tournament will be played at the site of the DAC regular season champion May 13-16.
