Bio

Cathy Carter was named Dallas College North Lake's head volleyball coach in 2014.

Prior to taking over the program, she spent three years as the Blazers' assistant coach from 2011-13.

Carter has coached club volleyball for ages 15-18 in the North Texas Region Volleyball Association since 2010. 

As a player, Carter was the starting setter at North Lake in 2008 after spending her freshman season at Dallas College Eastfield in 2007. She earned National Junior College Athletic Association Region V/Metro Athletic Conference First Team honors while with the Blazers in 2008. She was a Region V honorable mention selection at Eastfield the previous year.

She earned her associate's degree from North Lake in 2009, before moving on to play at Lyon College in Arkansas.
