Klock, Gonzalez Earn DAC Players of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Hadley Klock and Abigail Gonzalez have been selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week.

Klock, a 5-foot-9 sophomore setter from Centerville, Texas, is the league's Offensive Player of the Week. Gonzalez, a 5-5 freshman libero from Grapevine, Texas, is the Defensive Player of the Week.

At the College of DuPage Chaparral Invitational, Klock racked up 125 assists, 44 digs, 10 aces and four blocks as North Lake went 3-2. She had 31 assists, 14 digs, two aces and a block in No. 15 North Lake's four-set win over No. 4 DuPage. She had 22 assists and five aces in a sweep of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County. Klock finished the tournament with 30 assists, 10 digs, two blocks and an ace in a sweep of Joliet Junior College. She had 23 assists, three kills, an ace and a block in a loss to No. 7 Minnesota West Community & Technical College, and added 19 assists, an ace and a block in a loss to No. 2 Century College.

Klock is sixth among National Junior College Athletic Association Division III leaders in assists with 261.

Gonzalez had double-digit digs in each of the five matches at the tournament. She averaged 13.4 digs per match at the weekend tournament. She finished with 14 digs, three aces and 29 receptions in the win over DuPage. Gonzalez had 14 digs and two aces against Century, and 13 digs, seven assists, an ace and 20 receptions against Minnesota West.

North Lake (4-6) will host Hill College (6-3) at 6 p.m. Monday. The two teams will play at Hill Wednesday.
