Williams Selected Dallas Athletic Conference Player of Week

Dallas College North Lake's Da'Ryan Williams was named the Dallas Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.

A sophomore forward from Austin, Texas, Williams averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and one steal in a pair of North Lake wins. He had 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals, while shooting 7 of 9 from the floor in a 102-93 victory over National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Jacksonville College. Williams finished with 19 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal, while shooting 7 of 10 from the field in a 96-52 win over Loyalty Prep.

Williams is averaging 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds, while shooting 50.3 percent from the floor for the NJCAA DIII No. 5-ranked Blazers, who improved to 9-6 on the heels of their fifth straight win.

North Lake is off until Jan. 7 when it will host Dallas Christian College's Junior Varsity at 1 p.m.
