Bio

Albert Najera was named assistant baseball coach at Dallas College North Lake in the fall of 2023. He is responsible for on-field coaching, recruiting and administrative duties.

Najera helped coach North Lake to a 23-36 overall, 12-18 Dallas Athletic Conference record in 2025. The Blazers won their first postseason game in four years, coming back to beat Dallas College Cedar Valley 10-8 in the opening round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament. Parker Burt was a First Team All-DAC selection, and four Blazers earned Second Team All-DAC honors.

In his first season with the Blazers, Najera was part of a team that went 24-33 with a trip to the South Central District Tournament. The Blazers finished fourth in the DAC with a 13-17 league record. Noah Angus was a First Team All-DAC pick, while five others earned Second Team honors.

Najera served as an assistant coach at Dallas College Eastfield for two seasons in 2022 and 2023. The Harvester Bees went 48-13 in 2023, finishing as the NJCAA Divison III national runner-up after capturing the NJCAA Division III South Central District and Dallas Athletic Conference titles. In 2022, Eastfield was 47-12-1, finishing as the national runner-up after winning the district and conference championships.

Since 2017, he has held the role of general manager for Marucci Elite Texas-Dallas-Fort Worth.

From 2016-21, Najera was the varsity head coach at The Episcopal School of Dallas, where he had oversight of the baseball program. 

Najera has coached select baseball and fastpitch softball since 1991.
